At Mouse & Mako, we bring magic to everyday moments with our laser-etched tumblers, enchanting home décor, apparel, and more. We also offer themed party planning services to make your special occasions unforgettable. Please read our Terms of Service carefully before using our site or making a purchase.

By purchasing from us (either online or at one of our pop-up shops), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Overview of Services

Mouse & Mako operates two main service areas:

A. Merchandise Sales

We sell handcrafted, laser-etched tumblers, home décor, apparel, and similar physical goods. Purchases can be made through our website or at in-person events.

B. Party Planning Services

We offer custom event and party planning packages for birthdays, showers, themed events, and more. These services are available by request and require a contract and deposit.

2. Online Store Terms

By using our website and services, you agree to the following conditions:

  • You confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the parent or legal guardian authorizing any minor dependents to use this site.

  • You agree not to use any of our merchandise or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purposes.

  • You must not, in the use of our services, violate any laws in your jurisdiction — including but not limited to copyright laws.

  • You must not transmit any worms, viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature through our website or during communications with us.

Any breach or violation of these terms will result in the immediate termination of your service and may result in legal action.

3. General Terms

  • All purchases must be made by individuals over the age of 18 or with permission of a legal guardian.

  • Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or modify our offerings at any time.

4. Merchandise Terms & Refund Policy

A. Order Fulfillment

  • Orders are handmade or custom-created and may vary slightly in finish or design.

  • Please allow 1-2 weeks for order fulfillment before shipment and 1-4 weeks for any Pre-Orders before shipment.

B. Shipping

  • We ship across the United States. Shipping times may vary by location and are estimated at checkout.

  • Mouse & Mako is not liable for delays due to carriers or customs.

C. Returns & Refunds (Merchandise)

Our product are all handmade with care: Slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our products. These are not defects, but unique details that make each item one-of-a-kind. We take pride in the quality of our products.

All orders are carefully packed to ensure safe delivery - Mouse & Mako is not responsible for any damage caused during transit by the shipping carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS). If your item arrives damaged or defective at no fault of the shipping facility, you may request a refund or replacement under the following conditions:

  • You must notify us within 7 days of receiving the item.

  • You must submit proof of damage (e.g., a clear photo of the damaged item), or return the item to us.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Items damaged by misuse or wear and tear

  • Non-damaged items

  • Custom or personalized orders (unless damaged)

  • Items damaged due to the negligence of the shipping facility and/or delivery personnel

D. Product Use Disclaimer

All tumblers and drink-ware should be thoroughly washed before first use. While we take care in our packaging and production process, Mouse & Mako is not responsible for any illness, allergic reaction, injury, or death resulting from failure to properly wash tumblers or other food-contact products before use. Customers assume full responsibility for cleaning items prior to use.

5. Party Planning Terms & Cancellation Policy

A. Booking

  • All party planning services require a signed agreement and deposit to confirm booking.

  • Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis based on availability.

B. Client Responsibilities

  • The client agrees to provide all necessary details (venue access, timelines, vendor contacts, etc.) at least 60 days prior to the event.

  • Any significant changes to the scope of services must be approved in writing.

C. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that event plans may change. The following cancellation terms apply to all party planning services:

  • Cancellation 180 days before the event: 75% refund of deposit

  • Cancellation 179-90 days before the event: 30% refund of deposit

  • Cancellation less than 90 days before the event: No refund will be issued

These policies reflect the upfront time, planning, and resources allocated to your event, which begin upon booking.

D. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations, changes, or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, illnesses, or negligence of outside vendors - including the client.

6. Intellectual Property

All designs, logos, content, and creative works on our website and merchandise are the intellectual property of Mouse & Mako. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit our content without written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mouse & Mako shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products or services. Our total liability shall never exceed the total purchase price of your order or contract.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
